MSTelcom, in partnership with the Zona Economica Especial (ZEE), held the first edition of the Industrial Technology Forum on September 25, 2025.
This initiative, of significant relevance to the national industrial sector, aims to drive the technological modernization of industries operating within the ZEE, promoting digitalization, automation, and sustainability in Angola's industrial environment. The strategic partnership between MSTelcom and the ZEE seeks to ensure access to advanced telecommunications services and technological solutions for manufacturing units based in the zone.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between MSTelcom and the ZEE, formalizing the expansion of services throughout the Special Economic Zone. This measure is intended to equip factories with robust and efficient technological infrastructure, thereby contributing to increased competitiveness and stability within the national industrial sector.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Cármen Neto, the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Ângelo João, and the Secretary of State for Fisheries and Marine Resources, Álvaro Santos, along with representatives from public institutions and the business community.
In his address, Secretary of State Ângelo João emphasized that this initiative should serve as a model for other industrial hubs across the country, encouraging the replication of its approach.
“This Forum is an initiative that demonstrates how the integration of technology and industry can drive economic development. We challenge other industrial hubs to follow this example, making innovation a strategic pillar. Without a doubt, this is a landmark initiative and represents the right path toward achieving economic diversification and strengthening our national industrial sector.”
On her part, Felisberta de Jesus, Chairwoman of the Executive Committee of MSTelcom, highlighted:
“This Forum represents a great opportunity for all factories within the ZEE and other industrial hubs to learn about MSTelcom’s services and understand how they can modernize their operations to become more competitive and resilient in the market.”
She further added: “The future of industry is not built by machines alone, but with technology that enables greater efficiency and competitiveness. We hope this Forum results in strategic decisions and partnerships that elevate Angola’s industrial sector to international standards.”
Throughout the Forum, three thematic panels were held, addressing the following topics:
- Digitalization of Processes and Data Management in Production;
- Automation and Artificial Intelligence in Industry;
- Digital Sustainability and Green Industry.
In parallel, bilateral meetings with strategic partners took place, reinforcing the commitment to technological innovation and sustainable development in Angola’s industrial sector.
